SW Associates provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering design services for this new specialty hospital in Dallas, Texas. The overall project includes 360,000 square feet constructed in 3 phases.
This 3 story, specialty hospital consists of 120 patient beds and 20 dedicated operating rooms. The building is designed for future expansion to include an additional bed floor and eight additional operating rooms. The first floor houses PACU recovery as well as an emergency department, imaging and MRI capabilities.
The project also includes a 600 car parking garage which houses a central plant to generate cooling and heating for the entire facility. The Hospital is LEED certified gold level for Phase III and silver level for Phase I, and includes many energy efficient systems such as ultra-efficient chillers, heat recovery chillers, variable speed pumps and fans, high efficient boilers as well as water conserving plumbing fixtures and water reclaim systems.
SW Associates provided the energy modeling to deliver the most cost-effective systems that integrated the economic and environmental solutions.
