Project Detail

SW Associates was involved in the renovation and conversion of the existing Collins Building and part of the Sammons building into a world-class cancer center on the Baylor University Medical Center Dallas Campus. The facility will be the first dedicated cancer hospital and the largest outpatient cancer center in North Texas. The new cancer center will provide a full range of cancer-related services from radiation/chemotherapy to supplemental nutrition counseling.

The 300,000 square feet renovation/conversion of the two office buildings will create a 120-bed inpatient cancer hospital as well as a two floor, 37,000 square feet bone marrow transplant unit. SW Associates is updating all systems to meet current codes and includes replacing the entire MEP infrastructure.  The hospital will offer patients and visitors alike restaurants, coffee bars and free wireless internet access as well as an outdoor healing garden to provide all those that visit a peaceful retreat.

The center is marked to be an internationally renowned cancer care destination providing a full range of cancer-related services.
