Professional Experience Mr. Reed serves as a Senior Associate in the Texas office of SW Associates and he is responsible for Project Management - Senior Level Mechanical Engineer / Design. 
   

As a Project Manager, Mr. Reed is responsible for managing a multi-discipline design team for multiple projects Mr. Reed oversees the overall mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems selection, from performing life-cycle / operating cost analyses, to reviewing engineering design criteria requirements and selecting of applicable MEP Systems. He closely watch the construction budget implications of design decisions as well as monitor staffing levels / man-hours as they relate to schedule.  He is intensely involved at the conceptual design stages and directs MEP Engineering / Design Staff through all engineering / design phases to complete a concise set of MEP Contract Documents with involvement through Construction Phase to Final Completion.  
   
  Mr. Reed also oversees the Mechanical Engineer / Design, whereby he is responsible for technical competency of all HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection engineers / designers.  He is actively involved in the major design decisions for each project that he is associated with. This approach keeps him in touch with the most current advances in technology as well as the continuing growth of staff / team members. 
   
Professional Expertise Mr. Reed has been involved in professional engineering with over 30 years experience in project design and project management.  He has successfully managed and designed MEP Systems for a wide range of occupancy types, including; Health Care Facilities - Medical Office Buildings, Doctor - Dentist Offices, Office Buildings (low-rise & high-rise), Residential Lofts - Apartments - Condos (low-rise & high-rise), Retail Department Stores - Shopping Malls, Restaurants - Food Service, Hotels - Resorts - Timeshares, Country Clubs -  Conference Centers, High Tech Electronic Facilities / Clean Rooms, Warehouses /  Distribution Facilities,  Educational - Elementary - Middle - High Schools - Colleges - Universities, Churches - Religious Facilities, Federal Facilities - Border Patrols Stations - Prisons, Fire Dept - Police Stations, Municipal Buildings - Libraries.
